Project name: Next-generation double torsion springs

The project is implemented under the Call for project proposals “Strengthening strategic partnerships for innovation in the process of industrial transition”, reference code IP.1.1.03, in which the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds acts as the Managing Authority, and the Croatian Agency for SMEs, Innovations and Investments - HAMAG-BICRO acts as the Intermediate Body for the implementation of operations.

The project is implemented within the Integrated Territorial Programme 2021 - 2027, Priority I - Industrial transition of Croatian regions.

Project objective:
The project “Next-generation double torsion springs” aims to develop and implement the innovative OptiFlex and Duraflex double torsion springs in line with the latest Industry 4.0 standards, which includes the introduction of advanced production technologies, automation and digitalization through the development of a new production line.

Brief description of activities:
The project is carried out by a research consortium of three SMEs (POD d.o.o., ENSO d.o.o., Phoenix d.o.o.). The Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences Osijek will take part as an associate and will carry out field testing of the innovative products. Five activities are planned: industrial research for product development, experimental product development, preparation of a feasibility study, project management, and promotion and visibility.
Industrial research covers TRL 2, TRL 3 and TRL 4. Experimental development covers TRL 5, TRL 6, TRL 7 and TRL 8.

Total project value: EUR 1,070,605.76
Eligible project costs: EUR 1,017,995.15
EU co-financing: EUR 666,581.43
Implementation period: 1 January 2025 - 31 December 2027
