A quieter, adaptable blister packaging line for GUMACO SA
The enclosed DOBLI vibratory feeder singles out blisters containing milling cutters and drills at GUMACO SA in Perroy, Switzerland - connected to the client's production line PLC via a Harting quick connector.

Blisters with milling cutters and drills had to be fed one by one to a robot at the end of the line
At the end of its production line, GUMACO SA packs milling cutters and drills into plastic blisters. The task was to feed these blisters - one at a time, stable and ready to be picked by a robot - and to integrate the feeder into the line without installing a separate PLC control.
The requirement included adaptability to several blister sizes, both longer and wider variants, and connection to the existing production line PLC instead of a separate ENSO control system.
The enclosed DOBLI vibratory feeder with a Harting quick connector
We built DOBLI, an enclosed vibratory feeder that adapts to several blister sizes, both longer and wider. Instead of its own PLC control, the feeder has a prepared quick connector for a Harting plug, which lets the client's production line PLC control it - this speeds up integration, and the client keeps a single control system for the whole line.
For testing at ENSO we temporarily used a small PLC (Siemens LOGO!) inside the feeder, but in the final design the feeder is controlled by the GUMACO SA line PLC - DOBLI arrives as a component ready to plug in, not as a standalone system with its own control.
