Feeding springs without tangling for ESCO Fofonjka
The OPRA rotary drum feeder feeds springs one at a time into the outlet tube at ESCO Fofonjka in Bjelovar - inserting a ball in front of each spring to prevent tangling, with its own Siemens LOGO! control.

In a conventional vibratory bowl, springs tangle before entering the outlet tube
ESCO Fofonjka needed springs fed one by one into an outlet tube, without the tangling typical of coiled parts in conventional vibratory sorting.
The requirement also included the system's own control, independent of the production line PLC.
A rotary drum with LOGO! control and an anti-tangle ball
We built the OPRA drum feeder: a variable-speed electric motor turns a drum that lifts the springs and releases them onto a linear feeder, which guides them one at a time to the outlet tube.
Before a spring enters the tube, the system also inserts a ball in front of it so that the springs do not tangle again in the row. The system's actuators are a vibrator, a motor and pneumatics, and the whole system is controlled by its own Siemens LOGO! PLC.
