Drum feeders for tangling parts
The drum feeder is a rotary feeding system for springs and coiled parts whose geometry tangles easily in a conventional circular bowl. The rotating drum untangles and separates the parts one by one and, combined with a linear vibratory feeder, ensures a continuous and orderly supply of material to the machine.
When it is used
For parts that tangle or overlap in a conventional vibratory bowl - springs, coiled wires and similar parts with irregular geometry.
Design
The main part of the system is the drum, which shakes the parts out onto a linear feeder; the feeder takes the separated parts and passes them on to the process.
