01 - Challenge

Oiled metal parts needed a double feed on a single drive before optical inspection

As part of the LINKO machine for optical inspection of metal parts, ESCO Fofonjka needed a linear part feed built as a double track on a shared drive - a solution that saves space and drives compared with two separate linear tracks.

The parts are metal and oiled, which calls for a durable track design and a coating suited to how such parts slide.

02 - Solution

A double aluminium track on a single AFAG drive, coated for oiled parts

We built a double linear track made of aluminium, driven by a single AFAG vibratory drive instead of two separate ones.

Finally, the track was coated with a special finish suited to oiled metal parts, for better sliding and less wear.

One drive, two tracks

The double design on a shared AFAG drive reduces the number of components compared with two separate tracks.

Coating for oiled parts

A special coating on the aluminium base improves the sliding of greasy, oiled metal parts.

Part of the integrated LINKO machine

The feeder is built as an integral part of the LINKO machine for optical inspection of metal parts.
