A smart system for automated resource management

SKOR is an engineered system - a smart cabinet and software platform - that decentralizes storage and keeps tools, equipment and components available 24/7, with 100% traceability of every action.

More than storage

SKOR - a smart system for automated resource management

SKOR is an advanced engineered system (smart cabinet and software platform) designed for full control, automated dispensing and precise tracking of tools, measuring equipment and critical components. Developed within the ENSO ecosystem, SKOR acts as the physical bridge between your production floor and digital production management.

Instead of conventional storage, SKOR offers intelligent distribution directly at the point of use. Whether you use it for milling cutters, expensive electronics, documentation or measuring instruments, SKOR makes every item available 24/7, with 100% traceability and zero lost time.

Classic mechanical design and electrical engineering of a dispensing system are extended here with a smart software layer. At the core is a backend application connected to a database that records every change in real time, while the entire system is managed through an intuitive web application accessible from any location.

  • Hardware

PLC automation and robust mechanical engineering.

  • Software

Web SCADA and smart data analytics.

  • Connectivity

A single IoT system across all your halls.

Philosophy

Why decentralize your warehouse?

Decentralize your central warehouse. Place small, self-contained units directly where material is consumed. The storekeeper stops being a physical intermediary and becomes the digital supervisor of an optimized system that runs 24/7.

Eliminating the most expensive working hour

The most expensive working hour is the one spent waiting and walking. Instead of one remote warehouse that is staffed only on the first shift, SKOR units become distributed digital custodians placed across the entire plant.

24/7 availability without downtime

A critical spare part in the middle of the night shift, a calibrated measuring instrument or a strictly controlled chemical - everything is available within seconds, exactly where it is needed. 100% traceability of every item in real time.

The coffee machine principle

Instead of one central warehouse, SKOR units are installed right next to the operator's workstation - beside CNC machines, in metalwork halls, in laboratories - just like coffee machines placed around the plant.

One login

Full control and security

At the heart of SKOR is not just a cabinet, but a tight integration of hardware and software built on one principle: one authorization - one controlled action. The process is fully digitalized and eliminates the possibility of human error.

01

User authorization

The user logs in with an RFID card, scanner or password, and the system recognizes the user and their permissions.

02

Smart Software communication

Our software sends a request to the server, which checks the database in real time and sends the command to the PLC.

03

Precise positioning

The PLC controls the mechanism that locates the correct compartment and unlocks it.

04

Automatic logging

Every action is recorded in the database instantly - who took which item, when and for what purpose.

Web interface

Intelligent analytics - your warehouse at your fingertips

Managing, dispensing and storing goods is handled by our custom-built application, which turns data into useful information.

  • Consumption analysis

Track costs by period, cost center or specific item.

  • Advanced reporting

Print or export reports to PDF for accounting or purchasing.

  • Digital twin of your inventory

Know the exact stock level at any moment without a physical stocktake.

Technology core of the system

  • Frontend

Fast, responsive interface built with React.

  • Backend

Stable and secure data processing on the .NET Core framework.

  • Communication

Direct, fast connection to Siemens PLCs via the Snap7 protocol.

  • Database

Secure storage and full history of all transactions in real time.

Applications

Applications in smart factories

SKOR is designed to adapt to your specific workflow. Placing SKOR units right at the point of use eliminates unnecessary walking, while Smart Software tracks the life cycle of each item and automatically flags when it needs to be reordered.

Tool management

Tools and consumables such as milling cutters, inserts, electrodes and nozzles available right next to machining centers.

Internal shipment logistics

SKOR as an internal parcel locker between halls. The worker is notified when a part is ready for pickup.

Smart charging station

Storage and charging of industrial tablets, handheld terminals and scanners, with user records.

PPE

Controlled dispensing of clean masks and filters according to the occupational safety schedule.

Calibrated measuring instruments

Micrometers, multimeters and gauges, with a record of who used them last and when.

Maintenance spare parts

Sensors, relays and fuses within reach of technicians when a fault occurs - no more downtime.

Prototype and mold storage

Protection of confidential development parts that only authorized engineers may access.

Keys and access cards

Managing access to the vehicle fleet, machine rooms or server rooms through key records.

Medicines and first aid

Controlled access to medical supplies and specific antidotes in the chemical industry.

Special lubricants and chemicals

Bottles of special oils, adhesives or solvents whose consumption must be closely monitored.

Archive and confidential documents

Original drawings, contracts and machine manuals that must stay protected yet accessible.

Quarantine for defective parts

A compartment used as a drop-off for parts rejected at quality control.

Delivered solutions

SKOR in practice

ENSO smart parcel locker: Industry 4.0 solution for automated storage and tracking of production surplus

ENSO “Smart parcel locker” for production surplus

For a client, we developed a specialized system for storing and organizing production surplus. We solved the major problem of tracking surplus material by recording it digitally in a smart warehouse built as a parcel locker.

Key benefit: full records of expensive surplus and fast reuse of material through a stock search system.

“Check in SKOR” - everyday life in the ENSO engineering office

In our own lab we implemented SKOR as a digital twin of our equipment store - a live inventory and instant overview of the components we use in machine building: control equipment, sensors and vision systems, pneumatics, signaling, motors and mechanical components.

Our engineers focus on development, not administration. SKOR lets them pick up the component they need in seconds, while the system logs the withdrawal automatically.

Questions and answers

Frequently asked questions

What is SKOR?

SKOR is an advanced engineered system - a smart cabinet and software platform - for full control, automated dispensing and precise tracking of tools, measuring equipment and critical components. It was developed within the ENSO ecosystem as the physical bridge between the production floor and digital production management.

How does a user log in to the system?

With an RFID card, scanner or password. The system recognizes the user and their permissions, the software checks the database in real time and sends the command to the PLC, which positions the mechanism precisely and unlocks the requested compartment.

Who is the SKOR system suitable for?

It is designed for small and medium-sized companies that do not need bulky, complex logistics systems - no months of training and no expensive licenses. It is used for tool management, PPE, measuring instruments, spare parts, archive documents and other resource categories.
