How it works

Separating galvanized from non-galvanized parts with rotating magnets

MARA separates magnetic (properly galvanized) parts from non-magnetic (insufficiently galvanized or non-galvanized) parts for TDK Croatia in Kutina. Unsorted material is loaded into the input funnel, moves across a plate under the influence of a pneumatic vibrator and is distributed in a single layer before it reaches the transport plate.

Rotors with moving primary magnets collect the magnetic material on the rotor surface during rotation. At a specified position, under the influence of the secondary magnet, the primary magnets move back along their guides and release the material - the magnetic parts fall into the output channel leading to the container for magnetic material, while the non-magnetic material passes under the rotor directly into its own output container.

Control

Interface and control logic

Separation takes place without any electronic measurement of part properties - the operating principle relies solely on the force of the primary and secondary magnets and the mechanical movement along the guides.

Physical control station

  • Input funnel for loading unsorted material
  • Pneumatic vibrator for distributing material in a single layer
  • Output containers for magnetic and non-magnetic material

Functionality

  • Monitoring of the pneumatic vibrator
  • Monitoring of magnet rotor rotation
  • Full output container indication
Installed equipment and features

Technical details

Contactless separation

The material is sorted solely by magnetic force, with no optical or electrical inspection of each part.

Rotors with moving magnets

The primary magnet releases the material only when the force of the secondary magnet moves it back from the metal sheet.

Single-layer distribution

A pneumatic vibrator ensures that the material is distributed in a single layer before separation, with no overlapping parts.
