How it works

Two lines: blow-off-drying-cooling and nesting-drying-cooling-collection

SIPA is a line for blow-off, drying and cooling of electronic components placed in baskets after washing in washing machines, for TDK Croatia in Kutina. A conveyor belt carries the baskets through three sections of the line - the blow-off unit, the dryer and the cooling outfeed section.

In the blow-off unit, a pneumatic cylinder moves a carriage with nozzles above the baskets, and compressed air removes water from the components after washing. The dryer, built as a tunnel oven with heaters and temperature probes above the belt, heats the components along a defined temperature curve using temperature controllers, while two fans under the belt cool them at the outfeed.

NASU is a line for vibratory nesting, drying, cooling and collection of electronic components, made up of four linked sections. The parts are fed from the receiving funnel into a vibrating container that dispenses them onto the Teflon conveyor belt.

The dryer on the NASU line is constructed as a tunnel oven lined with insulation and Teflon foil against dust contamination, and it dries the parts along a set temperature curve - the heaters switch on and off via temperature controllers based on readings from the temperature probes. The cooling section continues directly from the dryer as an integral part of the conveyor.

Control

Interface and control logic

Drying on both lines is regulated by temperature controllers based on temperature probes above the conveyor belt, while the tunnel oven structure is insulated with ceramic fiber and ceramic wool.

Physical control station

  • Blow-off unit door with automatic cycle start on closing
  • Air filter drawer on the cooling section
  • Temperature probes above the conveyor belt

Functionality

  • Monitoring of the drying temperature curve
  • Tracking of temperature controller operation by heating zone
Installed equipment and features

Technical details

Tunnel ovens

Both lines use a tunnel oven design with ceramic fiber and ceramic wool insulation.

Automatic blow-off

Closing the blow-off unit door automatically starts the cycle of removing water with compressed air.

Contamination protection

The inside of the tunnel on the NASU line is lined with Teflon foil for protection against dust.
